Gabriela Sanchez

Gabriela A. Sanchez is a PhD candidate of Science and Technology Studies at the University of Geneva. She is part of a research team for Rethinking Science and Public Participation led by Prof. Bruno J. Strasser. The group examines practices often called “citizen science”. These citizen scientists can partake from sharing their computer power to crunch data, to monitoring environmental pollution with DIY tech. Sanchez focuses her work in researching science-making related to biotechnology, particularly communities and projects associated with «do-it-yourself biology» and «biohacking».
